Focused on neighborhood-first solutions and transparent council stewardship, ensuring our town's character thrives for all residents.

Phil’s Practical Solutions for San Anselmo
On parking, housing, downtown, and the budget, Phil brings a plan, not a slogan. Here’s how he’ll put uncommon common sense to work on the Town Council.
Before charging for parking, enforce the two-hour time limits already on the books, and identify the actual problem before spending on a fix.
How Phil would fix parking without new fees
Protect the currently available parking, identify additional options to increase parking downtown, support Live on the Avenue, and require performance bonds so no downtown parcel sits boarded up for years.
Phil’s plan to keep the Avenue thriving
Meet the State mandate with growth guided by the General Plan our community spent years shaping, and fully embrace ADUs as part of the solution.
How Phil would meet the State mandate on our terms
Build on one of downtown’s best community assets, without unnecessarily sacrificing the parking our businesses depend on.
What Phil wants for a permanent Creek Park
Honor the obligations prior Councils have made, and take a hard look at the return on investment before approving any new spending.
How Phil would spend your tax dollars
Plan for when flooding happens, not if, so our community can recover as efficiently as possible.
Phil’s plan for the next big flood
Treat the Council like a board of directors: disagree respectfully, get the full picture, and discuss significant matters thoroughly.
How Phil would run a better Council

“I believe voters deserve direct and honest conversations with their representatives. You won't find me dodging a question or avoiding a position just to placate constituents.”

Rooted in San Anselmo since 2017
Since moving to San Anselmo in 2017, Phil Chigos and his wife have raised their three children, built four businesses and operated two in-town properties, and held community service roles to build their home community.
Phil says his greatest role is that of an ever-present and attentive father. That responsibility shapes how he approaches every other commitment: he listens carefully, plans for the future, and follows through.
Phil Wants to Hear From You
Have a question, a concern, or an idea for San Anselmo? Phil believes the best decisions start with listening, and he’s always open to a conversation with his neighbors. Reach out and he’ll get back to you personally.
